Bashir Hayford request for sabbatical leave

The head for Ashanti Gold has asked the board of the club to grant him 90 days’ sabbatical leave

The league champions, AshGold have been struggling since the start of the Ghana Premier League, having won just two games in 11 league matches and have also been knocked out of the MTN FA Cup.

A source close to the Miners has told Pulse.com.gh that although Bashir Hayford has written a letter to board of the club to enable him proceed on leave, they are reluctant to sanction it.

The board has decided that Bashir Hayford should either resign or stay on with the club until such a time that both parties are convinced to part ways.

It is understood that Hayford is troubled with the recent poor form of the club and believes his life is in danger, due to several threats from the fans of the club who think the coach is a cause of their problems.
