Basigi accuses centre referee of bias officiating in 0-1 loss to Hearts

Yusif Basigi believes the centre referee denied his side a perfect goal

Hearts of Oak scored an early goal courtesy of Isaac Mensah, before the Giants of the West in the second half scored a goal that should have been the equaliser, but the centre referee who was close to the action disallowed it.

However, Yusif Basigi says he was surprised referee O.B Amankwa denied his side the goal, because there was nothing wrong with it.

“I saw the goal clearly and there was nothing wrong with it, so I was surprised he disallowed it.

“The referee was very close and I believe he saw it was a perfect goal, but he ended up disallowing it,” he said after the game.

Yusif Basigi’s charges away form, leaves much to be desired, having lost all 6 games on the road
