Sekondi Hasaacas earned their first away point after settling for a 1-1 draw at Bechem United on match day 14 of the 2016 Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The Sekondi based club prior to the game have lost their previous six away games and the host were highly tipped to win the game.

Bechem United in the first half dominated the away side and their bulky forward Abedenego Tetteh scored the first goal for Manuel Zacarias’ side. The Hasmal lads did their best to equalize but the home side held on to end the first half.

Hasaacas in the second half re-strategized as they gave Bechem United a good run for their money as Eric Bekoe and Samuel Afful combined effectively to torment the home side’s defence led by former Asante Kotoko defender Akwasi Acheampong.

The wonderful display by the Sekondi based club yielded dividend as in the 73 minute Eric Adu Poku stunned the home side with the equalizer.

After the goal, Bechem United threw a lot of bodies upfront but Yusif Basigi’s side defended well as the game ended 1-1.
