Hearts of Oak eye Liberty win in Accra

Match preview of the Ghana Premier League game between Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals.

The Phobians will be serving their last empty stadium ban. They were handed a two game punishment by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association after their club fans misbehaved in a league clash against Wa All Stars.

Hearts of Oak last Sunday defied all odds to pick a point at Aduana Stars, Comsos Dauda’s second half strike cancelled out Emmanuel Akuoko’s first half goal while Liberty Professional beat New Edubiase 2-0 in Dansoman.

The Phobians have gotten the biggest opportunity to stretch their lead at the top to three points should they beat the Dansoman lads while a win for the away side will propelled them to fourth position on the log sheet.

“This is the opportunity we are waiting for, we have to beat Liberty Professionals in order open up our lead at the top,” Cosmos Dauda told Pulse.com.gh ahead of the clash.

“We are playing home and we have no other excuse than to win the game, they are very good but we have to tame them and that is our target.

“We will be serving our last empty stadium ban and we have to win so that in our next home game our fans can fill the stands but though our fans can’t watch the game we are calling on them to support us in prayers.”

One of Liberty Professionals’ dangerous attackers in the ongoing campaign Tamimu Muntari has fired a warning at the Phobians.

“We don’t care whether they are playing home or not, we are storming Accra stadia to beat them, we also need the three points badly.

“We have studied their play and we will eclipse them, we have the quality to beat them and we will do it despite their rich history,” Muntari opined to Pulse.com.gh.
