Inter Allies accuse referee of cheating

"The referee said we were wasting time, but is that how he did his calculations to add the time? What kind of officials do we have in our league?" - Inter Allies Technical Director

The Eleven Is To One suffered their fifth defeat of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season in their outstanding fixture at the Tarkwa T & A Park on Wednesday.

The game was barren after 90 minutes, but the officials added 8 minutes with the reason that Inter Allies were delayed time with antics to frustrate the flow of the game.

And Inter Allies believe they were cheated.

"In the game of football, we accept that it is possible for a referee to award sixteen fouls against you and give four in the first half, but what we don't understand is why the referee added 8 minutes," Technical Director of the club, Willie Klutse said in interview with  Happy FM.

"When the referees do this kind of things,  the players get frustrated and ask why we are not also doing anything to help the team win matches," he added.

Mr. Klutse added that will work hard to ensure no team wins at the Tema sports stadium in their matches.

"We are professional club whose main aim is to produce players and develop them to have a better future, but from now we will work hard to win all our home matches.

"We will work hard and see whether a team will complain that the referee is good or bad. When the referee favours you, you see nothing with it and we will start doing that," he stated.

Inter Allies dropped to second but last at the foot of the league log after the loss to Medeama SC. They will host Techiman City on Saturday at the Tema sports stadium on Match-day 10 of this year's league.
