Kosta Papic still flirting with Hearts of Oak

The former coach of the Phobians is in Ghana eyeing Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s job

Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s job has been on the line for some time now, despite guiding the team to a 4 place finish after the second round of the Ghana Premier League, due to accusations of indiscipline acts on his part.

There was an attempt by the management of the club to terminate his contract, but the board squashed the decision, insisting that the coach should hold on to his job.

Coach Papic, who handled Hearts of Oak in the 2008-09 season has been linked to the Hearts of Oak job and there were earlier reports that he was in Ghana about two weeks ago, but he was then in Serbia.

However, another media reports in the weekend indicated that Kosta Papic was in Ghana on Friday to seal his move to Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Serbian has admitted that he is in the country at the moment and would join the Phobians very soon.

“I am in the Ghana to work, by scouting a player I have spotted. I will give the player an opportunity to come and do justify in South Africa.

“On Hearts of Oak, I am not joining them now, but very soon they would see me there. Currently I have a contract with a club in South Africa and it is against the FIFA regulation to start negotiations with any other club,” Papic told Happy FM.
