Kotoko face Dreams FC test

Preview of the Ghana Premier League game between Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko at Dewu Park

Asante Kotoko will lock horns with Dreams FC at the Dawu Park on match day 8 of the Ghana Premier League in the first mid-week of the season.

Kotoko under their interim coach Michael Osei seems to be rediscovering their form, after winning two games on the trot for the first time this season: beat Liberty in the league and edged out Real 24 Hours a 3 tier side at Tumu In the FA Cup.

However, their winning streak could be halted at the Dawu Park, where no side has managed a win against the newly promoted outfit.

The Porcupine Warriors had a poor to the league and had to wait until the 5 week to secure their first win and even asked their head coach David Duncan to step-aside for assistant Michael Osei to take charge of the team.

Michael Osei’s first game in charge was their 3-1 win against Liberty Professionals in Kumasi to take them from the bottom of the league ladder. The stop-gap coach also guided the team to beat Tumu FC 2-0 IN the FA Cup round of 32.

However his real test will be the away game against Dreams FC who have won 2 and drawn 1 at home. The only team that managed a draw at Dawu was All Stars.

The last time Kotoko visited a league debutant in an away fixture was October 2013 against Inter Allies. Kotoko won 0-1 on match day 5.

Kotoko left the Dawu Park with a 4-1 emphatic victory in their last visit to the venue 14 years ago against Dawu Youngsters.
