Kotoko rubbish allegation of match fixing by Bechem United

The General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti has refuted the allegation of match fixing levelled against the club.

Bechem United navigated through to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup, after they saw off the Porcupine Warriors 3-2 on penalty shootout, following a one all draw within 120 minutes of action at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Sunday.

The PRO of Bechem United, Bismark Danso claims that the management of the Porcupine Warriors wanted to influence the match, hence made the attempted, but they turned them down.

However, Opoku Nti, the General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who is in the news for attempting to fix the game has denied the allegation levelled against the club.

“I was having a jovial discussion with the CEO of Bechem United Mr.king, where I told him they cant make it to Africa if even they should progress,so am very surprise as to this development,” he told Nyhira Fm.

“After all if there was even an intention to influence the match, the VIP section of the stadium will not be the appropriate place to do that, so am amazed over the baseless allegation being made by the P.R.O, i think he has a hidden agenda against me”.
