Kwesi Nyantakyi backs Wa All Stars to win GPL title

The GFA President, who is also the bankroller of the Wa-based club wants his side to be the new champions of Ghana League.

Wa All Stars are leading the league table and are 2 points better than closest contender, Accra Hearts of Oak, after 23 matches played thus far.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, who believes that the emergence of a new force will be good for Ghana football, because the winners shouldn’t be always predictable.

“We should see a new winner for the league every year," he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM

“Football is the only unscripted grammar and if people go into games with known or predictable results or outcomes.

“I wish that Wa All Stars could win the league and also next season another unknown side will win the league and it continues like that so that it doesn’t become two or three horse race."

Wa All Stars will make a journey down south to take on in-form Ebusua Dwarfs on match day 24 of the Ghana Premier League.
