Liberty Professionals coach not happy with officiating in the league

Sometimes I don’t want to talk about officiating but we are all looking at it. It is very bad - George Lamptey

The Dansoman side on match day 17 were held to a pulsating 1-1 drawn game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday by Hearts of Oak. The home side finished with ten players after Bernard Arthur’s sending off.

And after the game, Liberty’s coach wasn’t enthused with how officiating went against the Phobians.

“Sometimes I don’t want to talk about officiating but we are all looking at it. It is very bad. They [the referees] just stopped us from playing. This league is like referees controlling colts league,” Lamptey said during post-match interview

“Some of the referees come with the scores in their hands, they do whatever they like. They have been doing that 20 years now and nobody can stop them, it is very bad.”

He added: “I think my players didn’t play well, we didn’t have our normal game but still we pushed them.”
