Michael Osei: I have been told to continue as coach

The head coach of the Porcupine Warriors says he has been assured by the new executive chairman to stay focus and ignore all rumours concerning the coming of a new coach.

Michale Osei, who was the assistant coach of Kotoko was named as the caretaker coach to replace David Duncan, following a poor start to last season.

He turned things around some few weeks after assuming the post, but had difficult moments at the latter part of the season.

There have been reports that Dr. Kyei will hire a foreign coach for Asante Kotoko, but Michael Osei says the new chairman has denied those claims.

“Dr. Kwame Kyei has told me to stay focused and ignore all rumours circulating that he is going for a foreign coach, because what foreign coaches can do, local ones can also do,” Osei told Nhyira FM.
