The former Hearts of Oak playmaker is optimistic of excelling at the Porcupine Warriors
Ashittey who is a free agent after his contract at Hearts of Oak expired at the end of the 2015/16 Premier League season has started training with the Kumasi giants but his deal is yet to be finalized.
The 22 year-old speedster last Friday played his first trail game for Asante Kotoko and he scored brace, as the former Premier League champions defeated lower-tier side Quam FC 2-0.
Players have not had it easy when they cross carpet from Hearts of Oak to Kotoko and vice versa but Ashittey is sure of proving his worth at Kotoko.
’’ I know the challenges that players of Hearts and Kotoko encounter when one crosses carpet to the other but I know with God’s intervention and hardworking, I will excel at Kotoko no matter what happens,” Ashittey told Cape Coast-based ATL FM.
