PFAG launches retired and active footballers fund

According to the General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, the fund will take care of 30 registered players in each of the 16 Premier League clubs in Ghana

The event which took place on Monday evening at the Alisa Hotel in Accra was nictitated by the PFAG whose General Secretary is former Back Stars defender Tony Baffoe.

According to the General Secretary of the association, the fund will take care of 30 registered players in each of the 16 Premier League clubs in Ghana.

The ceremony which is the first of its kind during the launching attracted important dignitaries, including the Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuiye, Ghana Football Association President (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi, the Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and some retired footballers like Samuel Osei-Kuffuor and Yaw Preko.

Also present at the launching was the captains of the 16 Ghana Premier League clubs.
