Preview: Dwarfs eye Hearts of Oak fall

The Cape Coasters will test the might of the Phobians on Sunday on match day 3 of the Ghana Premier League

Struggling Ebusua Dwarfs will welcome Hearts of Oak to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on match day three of the 2015-16 Ghana premier league on Sunday.

The Cape Coast based club are yet to win a game in the ongoing campaign following their opening day  0-1 loss to premier league debutants Dreams FC and 1-0 away defeat to New Edubiase United

Due to the club’s poor run, the head coach of the Green and Yellow side JE Sarpong has threatened to quit should his side continue with their poor display.

And Sunday they will have to play above themselves before beating Hearts of Oak who have been in superb form in their first two games recording back to back victories against New Edubaise and Medeama SC.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s side will definitely be eyeing for their third straight win of the season against wounded Ebusua Dwarfs. Though the season is young, the game at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium promises to sell out a good game due to the form of the Phobians while Dwarfs will be seeking their first point of the season.

Leading striker for Ebusua Dwarfs Bright Lukman is confident his team will halt Hearts of Oak winning run on Sunday.

“We have already lost two games and we will not sit down to lose again especially at our home. We are going to push very hard for the three points. We know Hearts of Oak have won their two games but we are much poised to halt their winning run.

“We are playing at home and we must make our supporters very happy by winning against Hearts of Oak and we will do it,” Lukman told Pulse.com.gh.

But Cosmos Dauda who scored his debut goal for the Phobians in their 2-0 win over Medeama says their aim is to grab a win at Cape Coast.

“Our winning streak must continue, meaning we have to beat Dwarfs for the three points. We know they are wounded lions but we also want to record our third straight win and I’m hopeful we will achieve our target on Sunday,” Dauda confidently told Pulse.com.gh.
