Ghanaian player and Swansea City star Andre Ayew played in the entire duration of his side’s English Premier League game against Southampton on Saturday at the Liberty stadium.

The Black Stars vice-captain and his Swansea team lost by a goal to nil with Shane Long scoring the only goal of the game for his Southampton team.

Hiram Boateng was an unused substitute for Crystal Palace in their 2-1 home defeat against Watford in the Premier League.

Abdul Baba Rahman made a 38th minute appearance for Premier League Champions Chelsea in their home game against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

The Ghanaian defender replaced captain of the side John Terry as his team won by a convincing five goals to one.

Jeffrey Schlupp and Daniel Amartey missed Leicester City’s 2-1 away defeat at Arsenal on Sunday. Both Ghanaians did not make the matchday squad for their Leicester City side. Schlupp is still recovering from his long injury layoff and Amartey is also waiting for his Premier League debut for the club he joined in the January transfer window.

Jordan Ayew continues to serve his game ban and missed Aston Villa’s 6-0 home loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

In the Italian Serie A, Alfred Duncan started and played the full game for Sassuolo in their 1-1 away draw at Chievo Verona.

Kwadwo Asamoah is still out injured and missed Juventus 1-0 win over Napoli which sent them to the top of the Italian Serie A table.

German-born Ghanaian Kevin-Prince Boateng could not make an appearance from the bench for his AC Milan team who won by two goals to one against Genoa.

Afriyie Acquah missed his Torino team’s 3-1 win over Palermo through injury.

Godfred Donsah of Bologna played against Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu’s Udinese in the Italian Serie A on Sunday. Donsah played the full game as his away team won by a single goal without reply. Badu did not play a part in the game for Udinese.

In the Spanish La Liga, Christian Atsu could not recover in time from his injury to play a part of Malaga’s away game against Villareal. Atsu’s team lost on the road by 1-0.

Wakaso Mubarak played the full game for his Las Palmas side against Sevilla away from home. Las Palmas lost the game by 2-0 with Wakaso getting a yellow card.

Benard Mensah made an 85th minute appearance for Getafe in their 1-0 home loss against Thomas Partey’s Atletico Madrid. Thomas did not make the squad for the game for his Atletico team.

Ghanaian forward Abdul Majeed Waris did not travel with his FC Lorient side for  Saturday’s away game at Nantes. The striker has been demoted to the Lorient team B after a rift between him and his head coach.

FC Lorient lost their away game at Nantes by two goals to one.

In Belgium, Frank Acheampong was on target for his Anderlecht team in their home game against Zulte-Waregem on Saturday. The Ghanaian forward scored the opening goal as his side won by three goals to nil.

Acheampong played 63 minutes of the game before being replaced by Matias Suarez.

Samuel Asamoah was an unused substitute for Oud-Heverlee in their six-goal thriller at home to Lokeren. The teams shared the spoil with a 3-3 final score line.

In Turkey, Samuel Inkoom started and played in the full game as his Antalyaspor side lost by three goals to two in their away game against Jerry Akaminko’s former club Eskisehirspor.
