The game ended in 1-1 draw.

In the English Championship, Albert Adomah was on target for Aston Villa who secured a 3-1 win at home to Cardiff City.

Ghana international Jordan Ayew also started the game and played 63 minutes before making way for Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Christian Atsu was in action for Newcastle United who lost their home game by a goal to nil to Blackburn Rovers. Newcastle however still lead the Championship table.

Andy Yiadom also played the full game for Barnsley in the Championship. Yiadom’s team who were playing at home lost by five goals to two against Nottingham Forest.

In Italy, Afriyie Acquah came on to play eight minutes for his Torino team who won against Chievo Verona by two goals to one.

Godfred Donsah did not play a part for Bologna who lost by two goals to nil to Atalanta in the Italian Serie A.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu could only make the bench for Udinese who lost their away game to Cagliari by two goals to one.

Kwadwo Asamoah could also not make it off the bench for Italian Serie A champions Juventus who lost their away game to Genoa by three goals to one.

Ghana international Isaac Cofie was part of the Genoa team that beat the Serie A champions. Cofie played the full game for his team.

In the Spanish La Liga, Thomas Partey came off the bench to help his Atletico Madrid team secure a 3-0 victory away from home. The Ghanaian replaced Antoine Griezmann to play the final six minutes of regulation time.

Abdul Majeed Waris was on target in France as his FC Lorient team lost a two-goal advantage to draw 3-3 with Metz away from home in the Ligue 1.

The Ghanaian played the full duration of the game.

In the German Bundesliga, Abdul Baba Raham watched from the bench as his Schalke 04 team won against Darmstadt by three goals to one.

Frank Acheampong was part of the Anderlecht team that trashed Royal Excel Mouscron by a whooping seven goals without reply. The Ghanaian forward came on after 74 minutes of play replacing Nocolae Stanciu.

Mubarak Wakaso was in action for Panathinaikos in the Greece Super League as they secured a point away from home with a 1-1 drawn game against Panionios.

A late double from substitute Joe Dodoo snatched victory for Rangers at Firhill in the Scottish Premier League. The Ghanaian forward came off the bench when his team were down by a goal to nil but scored twice in the final ten minutes of regulation time to give all three points to Rangers.
