West Ham United were held to a 1-1 draw by Stoke City in the game at the Olympic Stadium.

Daniel Amartey and Jeffrey Schlupp were unused substitutes for Premier League champions Leicester City who lost their home game to West Bromwich Albion by two goals to one.

Christian Atsu who was given a start in Newcastle United’s Championship game against Cardiff City scored the opening goal of the game for Rafael Benitez’s team. The Ghanaian player was replaced in additional time by Mohamed Diame with his Newcastle team still top of the English Championship.

Albert Adomah made a full recovery from injury to play in the entire game between Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers.

The Ghanaian and his team won by two goals to one. Jordan Ayew did not paly a part in Aston Villa’s Championship game against Blackburn Rovers.

Ghanaian player Andy Yiadom who earned a debut Black Stars call up last week played the full game for his Barnsley team who shared the spoils with Burton Albion away from home in a goalless draw.

In the Spanish La Liga, Kevin-Prince Boateng who has been a national debate over his Black Stars participation started the game for Las Palmas against Eibar.

The Ghanaian player 80 minutes before being replaced by Nabil El Zhar as his Las Palmas team won by a goal to nil.

Thomas Partey came on as a 73rd minute substitute for Atletico Madird who lost their game against Real Sociedad by two goals to nil in the Spanish La Liga.

In the Italian Serie A, Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah was an unused substitute as his Torino team trashed Cagliari by five goals to one.

Kwadwo Asamoah was not in the match day squad for his Juventus team as the Italian Serie A champions won by 2-1 away from home to Chievo Verona.

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu also played the full game for Udinese as they drew 1-1 with Genoa in the Serie A.

Isaac Cofie was on the bench for Serie A club Genoa in the game against Udinese.

Claud Adjapong was an used substitute for Sassuolo in the 3-0 home defeat against Atalanta.

Godfred Donsah was named on the bench for Bologna in their Italian Serie A clach against Roma.

In Germany, Abdul Baba Rahman came on as a substitute for Schalke 04 in their game against Weder Bremen. Schalke 04 won the game by three goals to one.

Frank Acheampong played the full game for Anderlecht in Belgium as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home versus Oostende.

Wakaso Mubarak was in action for Panathinaikos in the league game against Olympiacos ahead of the international break with Ghana. The Ghanaian and his team lost by three goals to nil in the away game.

In the English FA Cup, Spennymoor Town gave League One MK Dons a huge fright at Stadium mk as they suffered a 3-2 defeat.

Ben Reeves, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Kieran Agard gave the hosts a 3-0 lead inside 15 minutes but Joe Tait and a superb solo effort from Andrew Johnson gave the non-league side hope.

Ched Evans' second-half effort sent Chesterfield into the second round thanks to a 2-1 victory at Colchester. James O'Shea gave the Spireites the lead before Tariqe Fosu levelled.
