We took a look at the most tantalizing weekend fixtures from across Europe, and put together a list of Ghanaian players who we think need to be watched closely.

Daniel Amartey [Watford v Leicester City]

Leicester need a hero as they look to bounce back from their defeat against West Bromwich Albion before the international break. They have no shortage of candidates, although while Ahmed Musa is beginning to show his class in England, surely more is required from Riyad Mahrez. Daniel Amartey is still to convince that he can replace N'Golo Kante in the heart of the park, while Isaac Success and Odion Ighalo may fancy their chances of troubling the reigning champions.

Andre Ayew [Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United]

Tottenham welcome Andre Ayew's Hammers to White Hart Lane on Saturday in a tasty London derby. Ghana captain Ayew completed his first 90 minutes since May when he featured for the Black Stars in their 2-0 loss to Egypt in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday, while Wanyama helped Kenya extended their unbeaten run to eight matches after seeing off Liberia 1-0 in a friendly.

Thomas Teye Partey [Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid]

Thomas Teye Partey earned plaudits for his flair and his showy football in Ghana's World Cup qualifying defeat to Egypt, but was substituted during the match after struggling to have a major impact on proceedings. Can he raise his game when Diego Simeone and Zinedine Zidane head to head in the Madrid derby tonight?

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu [ Udinese vs Napoli]

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu will look to help Atalanta keep their excellent season ticking over when they host sixth-placed Napoli in one of the potential matches of the weekend. Udinese is currently on a four-game unbeaten run after winning two and drawing two games in the last four rounds. The team is now at the 13th spot of the Italian top flight table, tied on points with Chievo and Sampdoria and eight points above the bottom three relegation area.
