Ghanaian midfielder praised by Crystal Palace captain

The youngster has been a substitute for Crystal Palace in their last two games.

Crystal Palace skiper Mile Jedinak has heaped praise on Hiram Boateng, urging the Ghanaian midfielder to strive harder.

And Eagles captain Jedinak  is delighted that the youngster has been handed his chance in the first team, in comments to the club's Official website.

“It was also great to see Hiram Boateng get a Premier League game,” he told cpfc.co.uk

“He is a kid with tremendous talent and I’ve seen him come up through the ranks. He came through a little bit of fortune with a few injuries but he’s been put there because he deserved it and I’m over the moon for him.”

“Hopefully now he’s got that taste and can keep pushing everyone else around him to do the same thing and get even further.”

Boateng had spent the earlier part of the campaign on loan at League Two side Plymouth Argyle, before an ankle ligament forced him to cut that spell short.

He has since returned to his parent club and with them suffering something of an injury crisis themselves, has been used as a substitute by manager Alan Pardew in their last two games.
