Ghanaian midfielder praised by Crystal Palace teammate

Scott Dann, who equalised for the Eagles shortly into the second period, Boateng's confidence grows stronger.

Crystal Palace player Scott Dann hopes midfielder Hiram Boateng will shine after the Ghanaian midfielder made his Premier League debut on Saturday at Swansea City.

Boateng impressed in the second half, fitting into the centre of midfield and nearly grabbing a winner with a long range effort.

And Dann, who equalised for the Eagles shortly into the second period, hopes the 20-year-old's confidence grows stronger.

"That was his first game for us since I've been at the club," the centre-back told the Advertiser.

"He's a great lad and he's been out on loan, but we've been a bit short in numbers.

"Hiram has shown signs in training and the gaffer has shown a bit of confidence to put him on, because he could have put someone else on easily.

"It's up to Hiram now to kick on and try and get on the pitch again."
