Hearts record 2-0 win over Ifeanyi Ubah of Nigeria

Hearts of Oak continue their pre-season preparation with a convincing 2-0 win over Ifeanyi Ubah from Nigeria in an international club friendly on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians made their intensions clear in the game as they dominated their counterpart with their new recruits Samudeen Ibrahim who exhibited great piece of footballing skills.

Kenichi Yatushashi who has been under-pressure since he took charge of the club on the day, but had his tactics worked perfectly, however, in the 35th minute Samudden Ibrahim found the back of the net with a fantastic finish after he connected home Eric Kumi’s cross.

Hearts of Oak gathered more confidence in the game and they came close in getting their second goal but Comos Dauda fluffed his line but the Accra giants held on to their lead to end the first half.

From the break, the Nigerian were all gun blazing, but Ruben Gnagane leading Hearts of Oak defense line foiled all the attack initiated by the away side.

However, with 15 minutes to end proceedings, Thomas Abbey put the game beyond the reach of the Nigerian side with the Phobians second goal as the game ended 2-0.
