Ghanaian player wins Leicester City's Young Player of the Season

Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp has been named Leicester City's Young Player of the Season after helping the club win their first Premier League title

The Black Stars defender scooped the award for the second year running beating Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell this time round.

Schlupp started his season with Leicester City playing at left back before progressing further forward on the pitch to play in midfield later on in the campaign.

The player was out injured in the later part of 2015 but recovered in time to help his Leicester City team for their title push in the English Premier League.

Jeffrey Schlupp and his Leicester City team were officially crowned champions after Chelsea came back from two goals down to draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

Claudio Ranieri and his Leicester City players received their Premier League medals after their 3-1 win over Everton at the King Power Stadium with their last game against 2014/2015 Premier League Champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Other winners on the Awards night were Riyad Mahrez who won the Leicester City Player of the Season, Kante who won the Players’ Player of the Season, Jamie Vardy who won the Goal of the Season and Performance of the Season chosen by Claudio Ranieri and his staff was the 3-1 win over Manchester City.
