Ghanaian player's coach leaves Aston Villa by mutual consent

Jordan Ayew will play under Eric Black after coach Remi Garde left the Premier League club by mutual consent

The Premier League club started the season with former Tottenham Hotspur coach Tim Sherwood who was sacked after a poor run of form.

French international Remi Garde was appointed to steer the club out of their relegation mess but results have failed to improve with Aston Villa lying rock bottom on the English Premier League table.

A statement on Remi Garde leaving Aston Villa read on the club’s official website:

“Manager, Rémi Garde, has today left Aston Villa Football Club by mutual consent.

“The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Rémi for all his efforts during a difficult period and wish him well in the future.

“Eric Black will take over as acting manager until the Club appoints a new manager.

“There will be no further comment from the Club at this stage.”

Ghana international Jordan Ayew joined Aston Villa at the start of the season and is their highest scoring player in the league this season.

Aston Villa have however done abysmally this season having accumulated just 16 points from a possible 93 in 31 league fixtures.
