GAA suspends athlete indefinitely

Martha Bissah suspended indefinitely for accusing the Ghana Athletics Association.

Martha Bissah was offered a scholarship after winning the first Gold medal at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympics Games. The athlete has accused the Ghana Athletics Association of demanding GHC7,000 for her to redeem her scholarship.

The GAA said they had invited her on several occasions to come and substantiate her allegations which she has refused to.

“We have indefinitely suspended her for going on several platforms claiming the GAA has asked her money before she is offered the scholarship."We have invited her on two occasions to come and substantiate the allegation and plan her future as well but has refused. GAA has sent 24 athletes outside and none of them paid a pesewa,” Dzradosie told Starr Sports.
