Sunderland have offered £6million plus a player for Andre Ayew at Swansea. The club’s initial proposal was rejected but Swansea coach Francesco Guidolin is understood to be interested in Sunderland’s Fabio Borini.

Sportsmail reported last weekend how Sunderland were prepared to offer up to £11m for die-hard Liverpool fan Ayew.
Swansea though are reluctant to sell to relegation rivals as they look to strengthen their own attacking options. Sunderland are also pursuing alternatives.

Swansea remain keen to add a midfielder also but any return for Joe Allen will be shelved until the summer when Liverpool and the player take stock of his situation. Allen is in the final 18 months of his contract but is yet to start new talks.
