Gemma Acheampong qualifies for final in Durban

The Ghana athlete placed second after clocking 11.60 seconds in semi final 1 at the ongoing championships at the Kings Park Athletics Stadium on Wednesday.

Female sprinter Gemma Acheampon has secured a spot in the final of the Women Senior 100m at the African Championship in Durban, South Africa.

She lost the first position to Cote D’Ivoire’s Marie Ta Lou who crossed the finish line in 11.20s.

The five-day Senior Athletics Championships is taking place at Kings Park Athletics Stadium, in Durban, between 22-26 June, 2016.
