Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan has confirmed an appeal will be lodged with the ICC over the suspension from bowling of Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny.

The duo were handed the bans by cricket's world governing body after being reported during Bangladesh's victory over Netherlands in the first group stage at the World Twenty20.

Further testing has found the pair's actions to be illegal, but??the BCB is??set to challenge the decision.

"We are not convinced about Taskin as of now. We don't have any reason to be satisfied with the report," Hassan is quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.??

"And that's disappointing, so we have appealed to the ICC. We have a few grounds and we have said these things according to logic.??

"Only the ICC can withdraw the ICC's decision, which is why I am talking to the ICC directly. It won't be right to disclose what we presented as our logic. I can tell you that we have done everything possible."

Saqlain Sajib and Shuvagata Hom have been called up as their replacements, but captain Mashrafe Mortaza is still not happy with the ICC's ruling ??? particularly in relation to Taskin.

"We are very upset with the decision," he told a media conference. "It's very disappointing. We still believe that Taskin is alright.??

"These two bowlers have done very well for us. Taskin - in the last eight matches - has been outstanding. He has been outstanding all over the world. His economy rate is less than six. It is a big blow. Sunny has been bowling well also.

"The team is very disappointed, and Taskin and Sunny are obviously disappointed. The whole team is behind them. At the moment it's very difficult to understand??and tell them that everything will be alright.??

"As a group, the coaching staff and players are helping them cope. All that we can wish and pray is that they fight it out and come back and play for Bangladesh."
