Jackie Bradley Jr saw his hitting streak ended in MLB as Gerrit Cole starred for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Bradley saw his streak finish at 29 games after going 0-for-four in the Boston Red Sox's 8-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies.

Cole pitched five innings and had three RBIs in the Pirates' 8-3 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Bryce Harper homered as the Washington Nationals beat the St Louis Cardinals 2-1, and the Miami Marlins thrashed the Tampa Bay Rays 9-1.

J.A. Happ led the Toronto Blue Jays past the New York Yankees 3-1, the Houston Astros beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-2, and the Milwaukee Brewers were too good for the Atlanta Braves 6-2.

The clash between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals was postponed.

Pitcher Cole crushed a three-run homer against the Diamondbacks, his second career home run. Cole also hit a double, going two-for-two at bat. He also pitched five innings, allowing seven hits and one run.

Harper crushed a 437-foot homer against the Cardinals, his longest of the season.

The Astros' Lance McCullers became the fourth pitcher in the majors since 1913 to strike out 10 and allow no more than one hit in less than six innings pitched. The other three pitchers are Felix Hernandez, Jake Peavy and Bobby Witt.

Will Bradley be able to restart his hitting streak after it ended? All eyes will be on the Red Sox outfielder as he faces Jays right-hander Aaron Sanchez (4-1. 3.20 ERA.) The Toronto pitcher has allowed three runs or fewer in all but two of his starts this year.

At just 19 years old, one of baseball's top prospects, Julio Urias, will make his debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The left-hander will be the first 19-year-old to pitch for the Dodgers since Fernando Valenzuela in 1980. Meanwhile, the New York Mets' Jacob deGrom (3-1, 3.07 ERA) will look to spoil Urias' debut and end the Dodgers' four-game winning streak.
