The playmaker has endured a difficult start to his Eels career and his first season with the NRL club was cut short at the end of last month due to a shoulder injury.

Stanf-off Foran was granted indefinite leave in order to deal with personal problems and receive medical treatment, having also revealed he would launch legal action after details of an alleged betting splurge were leaked.

It was claimed that Foran could call time on his playing days at the age of 25, but the Eels skipper said that is not the case.

"I wanted to let Parramatta fans know that I have no intention of quitting footy, probably the opposite to be honest," Foran said in a statement.

"I need football in my life and this shoulder injury has reinforced that to me."

The Eels secured a third consecutive victory by seeing off South Sydney Rabbitohs 30-12 at ANZ Stadium on Friday to go third in the ladder.
