Jake Arrieta beaten, Yankees walk off in MLB

As the New York Yankees had a walk-off win, Chicago Cubs star Jake Arrieta was beaten in MLB.

Jake Arrieta has been almost unstoppable this season, but the St Louis Cardinals got the better of the Chicago Cubs pitcher on Wednesday.

Arrieta struck out six over five innings, but he gave up two runs as the Cardinals claimed a 7-2 win.

The New York Yankees enjoyed a 9-8 walk-off victory over the Colorado Rockies in a rollercoaster clash.

The Rockies came from 4-0 down to lead 8-4 before the Yankees rallied and completed victory with a Starlin Castro walk-off homer.

Noah Syndergaard had an injury scare as the New York Mets edged the Kansas City Royals 4-3.

The Miami Marlins shut out the Atlanta Braves 3-0, the Houston Astros overcame the Los Angeles Angels 3-2 and the Los Angeles Dodgers edged the Washington Nationals 4-3.

Trevor Bauer pitched a complete game as the Cleveland Indians overcame the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1, the Texas Rangers were 6-4 victors over the Cincinnati Reds and the Minnesota Twins battled past the Philadelphia Phillies 6-5.

The San Francisco Giants were 7-6 winners against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Chicago White Sox beat the Boston Red Sox 8-6 and the Detroit Tigers claimed a 5-1 win over the Seattle Mariners.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Oakland Athletics 4-2, the Toronto Blue Jays ended a three-game losing run thanks to a 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Baltimore Orioles cruised past the San Diego Padres 7-2. BAUER MAINTAINS STRONG FORM

Indians starter Bauer stayed hot as the right-hander fired a complete game, allowing one run on just three hits with 10 strikeouts against the Rays. Over his last four starts Bauer is 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA. BIG YANKEES HITS

The Yankees' Carlos Beltran, Didi Gregorius and Castro collected big hits to lead the Yankees to a comeback win over the Rockies.

CABRERA BRINGS UP HIT NUMBER 2,415
