Jang Ha-na surged into contention at the Bahamas LPGA Classic on Saturday courtesy of only the second albatross on a par four in LPGA Tour history.
Jang aces par four on LPGA Tour
The third round of the Bahamas LPGA Classic featured the rare sight of a hole-in-one at a par four, from South Korea's Jang Ha-na.
The South Korean recorded a hole-in-one at the driveable par-four eighth, a three-wood from 218 yards yielding the perfect result.
Tina Barrett is the only other player to have made an albatross on a par four in an LPGA event, the American doing so in 1991 at the MBS Classic.
Jang's ace lifted her to six under for the tournament as the third round continued at Paradise Island.
By the time Jang completed her front nine with a par, she trailed leader Catriona Matthew by three shots.
