MS Dhoni believes India's younger players will take invaluable experience from escaping the "chaos" of their World Twenty20 clash against Bangladesh with a win.

Wickets in the final three balls of Bangladesh's innings helped tournament hosts India snatch a one-run win from the jaws of a defeat which would have left them facing near-certain elimination.

Requiring two runs from the final three balls, Mushfiqur Rahim (11) and Mahmudullah's (18) attempts to seal victory in style resulted in them being caught at mid-wicket before Dhoni raced in to run Mustafizur Rahim (0) out off the final ball, which Shuvagata Hom (0 not out) could not connect with.

Hardik Pandya (2-29) and Jasprit Bumrah (0-32), both 22, were given the responsibility of bowling the game's final two overs as India stared down the barrel.

Dhoni told reporters post-match: "I think what's very important is to listen to everyone and if you see in a situation like this it's literally chaos what you're trying to do is manage chaos.

"Everyone will have his own opinion, often the opinion of a batsman is very different to the opinion of a bowler.

"At times in situations like this under pressure you may have tunnel vision but that's where the input of others comes in but we have to asses everything and it has to happen in a very short space of time.

"It's a really good game for us, especially for youngsters who have not played under a lot of pressure.

"Somebody like Hardik or Bumrah, this was the first proper interaction with pressure, what pressure can really do.

"So they must have learned a lot out of this game and this is the sort of game that really makes you better, it pushes you to think in a different way to have that confidence in your strength when it's really needed."

Dhoni's opposite number Mashrafe Mortaza pointed to Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur's loss of composure at the end.

He said: "When you need 11 runs from six balls, you have to hit. But when you hit two fours, you need to be a little calculated…that's it.

"That was the biggest disappointment. Yes it easily could have been our way because two well-set batsmen and experienced batsmen were there. I don't know how to describe it.

"Losing a match like this, it is always difficult to take something but we have to take it. We have to play hard cricket in the last match, if we can do something there we can take something from that back home."
