Another fast start set Fenerbahce on their way to a fifth win from as many matches in Euroleague's Top 16 on Thursday.

Having racked up 37 first-quarter points in last week's triumph over Darussafaka Dogus, Fener scored 18 without reply at one stage during the opening period of their latest encounter at home to Cedevita.

The Croatian visitors battled bravely to stay in touch thereafter, but were ultimately beaten 86-73 as the leaders of Group E maintained their perfect record.

"We had a very good start. We passed the ball particularly well in the first quarter and our defence was good," said Fener coach Zeljko Obradovic, who also warned his side of the need to remain focused.

Luigi Datome and Ekpe Udoh were the top scorers for Fener, with 19 and 17 points respectively.

Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow each improved to 3-2 records in Group F with wins over Olympiacos and Brose Baskets Bamberg.

Sergio Llull contributed 18 points as Real beat Olympiacos 84-72 in a repeat of last year's championship game.

A dominant second quarter was key to CSKA's 91-70 victory over Bamberg, with the German side outscored by 30 points to 11 in the 10 minutes prior to half-time.

"We were never able to come back after that," Bamberg coach Andrea Trinchieri is quoted as saying by Euroleague's official website.
