Kieran Brookes has re-taken his place in England's Elite Player Squad at the expense of Henry Thomas.

Tighthead prop Brookes was initially included in Eddie Jones' selection, with England's Six Nations campaign set to begin against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Thomas, of Bath, was called up as an injury replacement for his Northampton Saints counterpart after Brookes had to undergo surgery on a knee problem.

But Brookes returned for the Saints in Friday's 24-11 defeat to Wasps in the Premiership and joined up with the England squad at Pennyhill Park on Sunday.
