Australia internationals Leroy Houston and Taqele Naiyaravoro are both returning to Super Rugby after agreeing to re-join Queensland Reds and NSW Waratahs respectively.

On the same day Houston and Naiyaravoro were included in Australia's initial 39-man squad for next month's three-Test series against England, the pair's futures were both confirmed on Thursday.

Forward Houston will return to Reds immediately after he was released from his contract with Premiership side Bath a year early.

The 29-year-old, who was part of the Reds' Super Rugby-winning side in 2011, has signed on until 2018, having spent three seasons with Bath.

"Queensland and the Reds are my home, so there was no other choice when I decided to come back to Australia," he said. "I have awesome memories of my time at Ballymore. There's a good bunch of young lads at the club and some really experienced players there too. I'm looking forward to getting back there and contributing to what they're trying to build. "I was there in 2008 when it was tough going, so I know what it's like to experience that, but we won the title in my last year and hopefully I can share some of my experiences with the current group. "There's a lot of potential there and I can't wait to be a part of it."

As for Wallabies team-mate and winger Naiyaravoro, he will be eligible to link up with Waratahs in July after cutting short his stint with Pro12 outfit Glasgow Warriors.

Naiyaravoro will be free to play in Waratahs' remaining three regular-season matches after joining the club for the 2017 and 2018 campaigns.

The 24-year-old made five appearances off the bench as Waratahs' won the 2014 Super Rugby championship.
