Eoin Morgan said there is a far more positive vibe in the England squad at the??World Twenty20 than there was during the World Cup last year.

England came in for plenty of criticism after failing to progress from Pool A at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Trevor Bayliss has since replaced Peter Moores as coach and England have looked a different proposition in the shorter formats of the game.

England start their bid to win a second World T20 title against West Indies in Mumbai on Wednesday and captain Morgan is not fearing more failure on the big stage.

"I think this feels different [to the World Cup] because we've a different group of players,"??said the batsman.

"It's??a new energy, it's an exciting time for English cricket given the talent that we have in our group, and the attitude in taking the game to the opposition.

"It certainly feels different in that regard."

Morgan added that is not imperative that his side get off to a winning start in the Group 1 clash against the Windies.

"Going into any tournament, it's not about getting out of the traps early and playing your best game first up," said the Irishman.

"It's about pacing yourself and picking up confidence and putting in performances when they really matter. [But] the first game is a tough game - I do agree with that."
