Ghana volleyball undergoes Olympic Solidarity Project for 2017

Ghana Volleyball Association President announces project which will be supervised by Ghana Olympic Committee and International Olympic Committee to aid the sport in Ghana.

The project was launched on Wednesday, the 13th of September, 2017 and the project will take place through the period of September 13 to December 6, 2017.

The President of the Ghana Volleyball Association Paul Atchoe did outline the programs which will go into this very project.

“Projects will run in two phases. The first phase will end on the 30th of September. During this period a resource person will be head coaches drawn from the 10 regions with members of the GVA technical team through the modern techniques of volleyball coaching in both indoor and beach volleyball.”

“The second phase will take place through mid-October to the 1st week of December. In this phase International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) instructor, Mostafa Ahchouche from Morocco will take time off to coach our senior men and women national team through their preparations for the final stages of the 2018 World Cup Qualifications.”

The African Volleyball Championship for men which serves as a qualification for the 2018 Volleyball World Cup will be held in Egypt from the from 20th to 30th October 2017.

The Women’s African Championship which also in turn serve as the 2018 Women Volleyball World Cup Qualification will run from the 7th to the 14th of October 2017 in Cameroon.
