It just was another terrible night for him. Majeed Waris picked the worst possible day to leave yet his scoring boots at home.
It is the 12th time that the Ghanaian striker has failed to find the net in Ligue 1 as he continued to fire blanks in Lorient’s 3-0 loss to Monaco on Friday night.
Waris who played the entire duration of the game not open his league account nor prevent his side from tasting defeat against a title-chasing Monaco, who now move provisionally atop Ligue 1.
Lorient were outdone by Radamel Falcao continued his brilliant season with a goal as youngsters Thomas Lemar, who made his France debut earlier this week, and Gabriel Boschilia scored free-kicks to seal the win.
Waris is yet to score a league goal this season, his only goal so far this campaign has been a penalty he converted in a French Cup encounter a few weeks ago.
