Flings Owusu-Agyapong to be Ghana's flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony

Flings Owusu-Agyapong and John Ampomah will be Ghana's flag bearer and captain at the Olympic Games respectively.

Javelin thrower John Ampomah will be the captain of the team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

The Ghana Olympic team arrived in Brazil on Tuesday for the Olympic Games with 16 athletes representing the nation.

Janet Amponsah, Sean Safo-Antwi, Emmanuel Dasor, John Ampomah, Alex Amankwah, Flings Owusu-Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Beatrice Gyaman, Szandra Szogedi, Dorcas Gyima, Abeku Gyekye Jackson, Abdul Omar, Kaya Adwoa Forson and Christian Amoah were part of the team who had the welcome ceremony upon arrival in Rio.

The team will be staying at the Rio Olympics Village during the Games scheduled from August 5, 2016 to August 21, 2016.
