Egpyt beat Congo to qualify for 2018 World Cup

Mo Salah sends Egypt to Russia 2018 with winner in fifth minute of added time against Congo

The Pharoahs of Egypt have qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Congo at Borg El Arab Stadium on Sunday.

Striker struck just after the hour mark and Egypt were on their way to Russia 2018 but a late leveler from Dijon's Arnold Bouka Moutou took the scenario down to the final match of qualifying.

However a penalty at the death saw Egypt through, with the Reds star stepping up for his country.

The win puts Egypt four points ahead of second-placed Uganda in African qualifying's Group E with just one match remaining.
