Arsenal legend leads young Gunners to victory in Europe

He enjoyed numerous successes as a footballer, winning the biggest trophies in both club and country football.

Thierry Henry however enjoyed a new type of success which he hopes will continue for the rest of his coaching career.

The Arsenal legend who has started his coaching badges with the club's U-19 sides was watching on the sidelines as they won Dinamo Zagreb 3-2.

Julio Pleguezuelo scored two while Ben Sheaf scored the other as Arsenal top Group F of the Youth UEFA League.

Henry worked with the boys before the game at Colney training fields alongside under 19s coach Ryan Garry.

Henry is working with Arsenal’s youth sides to earn his coaching badges as he seek a career on the sideline.

Though he was a successful player in his playing days, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

"[Henry] will discover what the job is about and you have to go through that process if you want to one day manage a football team," Wenger told Arsenal's official club website.

"The job of a player is centred on you and the job of a coach is centred on others. You find you just focus on others and how you can help them.

"It demands a psychological and mental transformation that is not always easy. It also demands how to get what you know is available in other people in the most simplistic way.”
