Ghana wallop Lesotho 7-0 in FIFA World Cup qualifier

Exactly 4 years today, Ghana went rampage as they edged Lesotho 7-0 in a World Cup qualifying match heavily delayed by floodlight failure.

On 1 June, 2012, Coach James Kwesi Appiah started his Black Stars job with a 7-0 victory over Lesotho at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi

The Stars determined to carry the day commenced the match on a fast note pilling up pressure on their counterparts when Senegalese referee Diata Badara whistled for hostilities to begin.

Braces from Dominic Adiyiah and Jordan Ayew, as well as further goals from Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu and Jerry Adaminko, sent Ghana on their way to a convincing victory against a Lesotho side that finished with 10 men.

The game, though, was sadly delayed for a long period just before the hour mark when floodlight failure stopped the encounter at 4-0. It was eventually restarted with the Black Stars completing their straightforward win.
