Medeama coach praises players after Confederations Cup qualification

Strand who is hoping to make an impression by helping the Club reach the money zone has lauded the players for their win against the Libyan giants.

Medeama SC coach Tom Strand has heaped praises on his players following thier impressive 2-0 win over Al Ittihad Tripoli in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

Two goals from Abass Mohammed ensured the Ghana FA Cup and Super Cup champions advanced to the second round of the competition on a 2-1 aggregate after the first leg 1-0 in Libya last week.

And Strand who is targeting a qualification to the money zone has lauded the players for their win against the Libyan giants.

“My players did well to win the game, it was a difficult win but they were able to win and that is very good, he said after the game.

“They played good football and took their chances, they did very well.”

Medeama will prepare for their outstanding Premier League game against Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday.
