Ghanaian players to watch in Europe this weekend

We took a look at the most tantalizing weekend fixtures from across Europe, and put together a list of Ghanaian players who we think need to be watched closely.

Kwadwo Asamoah

Asamoahis back from the treatment room and saw 90 minutes of action as Juventus hammered Udinese a 4-0 in the Serie A on Sunday. The Ghana international is expected to return to Juventus team once again this weekend against AS Roma after he was rested in their Copa Italia game against Lazio on Wednesday.

Inaki Williams

Inaki Williams will try to put up a good show infront of his home fans when Athletic Bilbao welcome Eibar at the San Mames on Sunday. The 21-year-old penned a new deal that will keep him at hometown club until the summer of 2021. His new deal includes a bumper release clause of £50million to try and hold off immediate interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.

Kevin Prince Boateng

He’s back! AC Milan travel to Empoli in a tricky game in Serie A on Saturday. Kevin-Prince Boateng has just rejoined the Rossoneri and was on target in Milan's 2-0 win over Fiorentina last weekend. Boateng could even make his first start in his second stint at the club this weekend. What a return it is turning to be!

The Ayew brothers

Jordan Ayew's bottom club Aston Villa head to nearby West Bromwich Albion on Saturday having picked up four points out of a possible six from their last two games against top-half sides. The Ghanaian will be hoping to help his Remi Garde to bag his first away win and they might fancy it against a Baggies side comprehensively beaten last weekend.

Jordan's elder brother, Andre Ayew, will feature under new coach Francesco Guidolin as they travel to the Goodison Park to face Everton. The season started so well, with Swansea going unbeaten through August to spark talk of a European push. But their form since then has been dismal, and Ayew, one of the finest, will be dying to earn a victory on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Teye Partey
