Kotoko to face World Stars today

The Porcupine Warriors will play against selected international stars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi in Unity match

The Vodafone sponsored Peace/Unity games is organised to promote peace towards the 2016 general elections in Ghana.

Football Stars both active and retired ones arrived in Accra, the capital city of Ghana on Tuesday. Some of the Stars who have arrived for the game are the former England and Arsenal defender, Sol Campbell, Dutch legend Edgar Davids, Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke, Liverpool Great Emile Heskey, Cameroun International Alex Song, Ghanaian-born, ex-Dutch international George Boateng and former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas.

Stephen Appiah will lead former Black Stars players and the other international stars as they take on Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

Kotoko is likely to be led by Stephen Oduro, a senior member of the team. The Porcupine Warriors will also parade the likes of Amos Frimpong, the skipper of the side, Dauda Mohammed, the club’s top scorer, Ahmed Adams, dependable defender of the club, Stephen Nyarko, Eric Donkor, Seidu Bancey, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, etc.

The second match of the Unity games will take place on 11th June, 2016 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra and this will see the international stars face the Black Stars of Ghana.
