International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has rated Dennis Onyango, the shot-stopper of the Uganda senior male national football team as the 10th best goalkeeper in the world.

He secured five points to beat Arsenal’s Petr Cech, Samir Handanovi of Inter Milan and Barcelona’s Marc Andre Ter Stegen who were ranked  11th, 12th and 13th respectively.

Onyanga enjoyed the most successful term in his football career, after propelling Mamelodi Sundowns to win league and CAF Champions League double and was also instrumental in helping Uganda qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 38 years.

Uganda have been drawn in group D of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Ghana, Egypt and Congo.

The continental showpiece starts on 14th January and ends on 5th February, 2017.
