Ex-Berekum Chelsea midfielder joins second-tier Elmina Sharks

Yaw Alexander has completed a transfer move to GN Bank Division One league side Elmina Sharks.

The experienced middleman penned down a two year deal with the Elmina based club and has officially started training with the club owned by business magnate Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom.

“I have joined Elmina Sharks, I signed two years deal with them. I’m currently in Elmina preparing for our weekend’s game,” Alexander told Pulse.com.gh.

“After returning from abroad which is about seven months ago, I need a team that I will play in order to get me busy so I chose Elmina Sharks over other clubs.

“I’m expecting a foreign deal in three months’ time but if that deal failed to push through I will see through my two years contract with Elmina Sharks.”

Alexander was part of Berekum Chelsea’s successful story in 2010/11 season where they won the Ghana Premier League and played the group phase of the CAF Champions League.

Elmina Sharks are currently leading zone two league table with 28 points after 12 games.
