The Mauve and Yellows having lost and drawn against TP Mazembe and MO Bejaia respectively are on the road to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the third group game of the competition.
And Prince Owusu, who joined the Tarkwa-based club as permanent successor of Tom Strand midway through their campaign, believes victory over Young Africans could kick start their quest for continental glory.
“We are poised for the game, we have watched a few clips of them and we have adopted a strategy,” Mr. Owusu said after the team's first training session in Tanzania.
Mr. Owusu also revealed that he has done enough work behind the scenes and he knows the strength and weaknesses of their opponents, and called on Ghanaians to rally behind the team in spirit.
“We know their strength and we have worked on that. We just hope and pray we get good results and Ghanaians must pray for us as well," he added.
Medeama SC have 1 point out of possible 6, and will require a favourable result to keep their campaign dream alive.
