Ghanaian midfielder delights in goal return after injury

Mubarak Wakaso scored the last of four goals to help his Las Palmas side convincingly defeat visitors Espanyol in La Liga.

Wakaso who was introduced into the game with 25 minutes of regulation time to play said after capping his injury return with a goal:

“I am very much delighted I do not feel any pain again in thigh. It’s been a difficult time especially the fact that I had do catching up.

“But football is that way the most important thing is that I am back and the team continues to grow.”

The Ghanaian midfielder aggravated an injury sustained at Las Palmas at the Black Stars camp during the international break. Wakaso has since been out working on his fitness level.

The Ghana international played his first game since the international break in the win over Espanyol in the Spanish La Liga.
