20-yr-old engineering student dies after seizure

A third-year student at Northwestern University, Evanston, US, Jason Arkin, has died in his campus dormitory.

Police spokesman, Joe Dugan, said on Wednesday that paramedics responded to a call about 4:50 a.m. of a student reported to be having some type of seizure.

Arkin was then rushed to the hospital.

The university and Cook County medical examiner said the engineering student was pronounced dead at Evanston Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

University authorities in a statement said the cause of Arkin's death unknown.

School spokesman, Bob Rowley, however noted that there was no indication of foul play.

Evanston police are still investigating the death.
